Fast airmail shipping worldwide is now just US$6.95 for up to 5 pendants.
Photos can simply not do justice to these amazing pieces with their depth of colour which seems to shift and swirl around as the carvings are turned. |

Large Polished New Zealand Paua Shells
Top quality whole Paua shells cleaned and beautifully polished. Paua shells of this size and quality are extremely rare so stock is very limited.
Paua shell is used extensively in Maori art for decoration not only in bone carvings but also in the huge wooden sculptures, poles and beams found in meeting houses.
Paua are related to the Abalone but in the cold waters of the South Pacific they have developed thick shells that feature a stunning rainbow of bright iridescent blue, green, yellow and red colours.
No two shells are ever alike so there is a wide variation in colour and pattern between Paua even from the same location.
The colour is hidden underneath a thick crust of lime, seaweed, tube worms, barnacles and anemone so these shells have been cleaned, ground back and highly polished to show their true beauty.
They make great display pieces and stands for other small artworks or turned over they make exotic bowls, jewelry trays or even soap dishes and coin trays.
