Cookies:

What Are Cookies

Cookies are used by shopping carts to keep track of order data.
If you turn off cookies in your browser or block them in any way you cannot place an order using a secure shopping cart system.

You can still use our manual order form but will have to put the details of each item into the boxes yourself.

A "cookie" is a small piece of information which a web server can store temporarily with your web browser. This is useful for having your browser remember some specific information which the server can later retrieve. As you browse the web, cookies are stored in your computer's memory. When you close your browser, some cookies that are not set to expired immediately are written to a cookie file so they can be reloaded next time you visit that web site.

A cookie file is not a secret way for a web server to find out everything about you and what you have on your hard drive. The only way that any private information could be in your cookie file would be if you personally gave that information to a web server in the first place and it decided to put that information into your cookie file for some reason. Also, each cookie is marked with information about what web server it's for. There is absolutely no way for a web server to get access to any private information about you or your system through cookies, and there is no possible way that a virus could be spread through the use of cookies.
Some unsavoury sites however do use cookies to track where you have been and pick this information up next time you return to their site, this privacy issue is the reason for them being blocked by default on some browsers.
If you are worried about this issue you can easily enable cookies but set the preferences to either be asked if you want to accept a cookie before it is saved or make sure that only cookies set to expire at the end of your session (when you close your browser window) will be allowed.

The cookies we use are 100% safe.  They ONLY record details of what you have put into your shopping cart while until you check out, they do not record any other information you enter whatsoever.
They are also set to expire the moment you close your browser so they are not saved onto your hard drive.
